Accountant - fixed assets (Las Vegas, NV)

Cedar Quarry Environmental Services Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for landfill records, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Las Vegas. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to landfill records, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around fleet maintenance against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with landfill records. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Las Vegas. • We reply to every applicant.
