Accountant - fixed assets (Las Vegas, NV)

Northwind Granite Housing Group manages affordable housing communities across Las Vegas. We are hiring an Accountant to take on fixed assets. You would join a small organisation of about 42 people based in Las Vegas. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around lease compliance against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Las Vegas. • We reply to every applicant.
