Accountant - fixed assets (Las Vegas, NV)

We are growing our team at Nova Juniper Facilities and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be fixed assets. You would join a small organisation of about 171 people based in Las Vegas. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around contractor visits against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Las Vegas, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
