Accountant - fixed assets (Knoxville, TN)

Cedar Quill Telecom is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for network equipment, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to network equipment, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with network equipment. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Knoxville. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
