Accountant - fixed assets (Knoxville, TN)

Silverline North Property Management is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for vendor invoices, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 19 people based in Knoxville. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around rent collection against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with vendor invoices. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Knoxville. • We reply to every applicant.
