Accountant - fixed assets (Knoxville, TN)

We are growing our team at Summit Pine Pharma Group and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be fixed assets. You would join a small organisation of about 43 people based in Knoxville. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to batch records, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Knoxville, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
