Accountant - fixed assets (Knoxville, TN)

Greenridge Pike Auto Group serves drivers and dealerships across the Knoxville region. We are hiring an Accountant to take on fixed assets. You would join a large organisation of about 690 people based in Knoxville. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around customer estimates against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with parts orders. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Knoxville. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
