Accountant - fixed assets (Knoxville, TN)

We are growing our team at Highbridge Pike Pharma and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be fixed assets. Quality is everyone's job here, not a department. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to clinical studies, and clear open items. • Track costs around quality documentation against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Knoxville. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
