Accountant - fixed assets (Jacksonville, FL)

Rivermark Fox Learning Group runs classrooms and tutoring across the Jacksonville area. We are hiring an Accountant to take on fixed assets. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around enrolment against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with student accounts. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Jacksonville. • We reply to every applicant.
