Accountant - fixed assets (Jacksonville, FL)

Harborlight Cedar Foods is a Jacksonville food manufacturer supplying grocers and food-service customers, and we need an Accountant to lead our fixed assets. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around customer specifications against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to cold storage, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with cold storage. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Jacksonville. • We reply to every applicant.
