Accountant - fixed assets (Jackson, MS)

Cedar Beacon Manufacturing Group makes precision components in Jackson. We are hiring an Accountant to take on fixed assets. You would join a small organisation of about 80 people based in Jackson. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to work orders, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with work orders. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Jackson, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
