Accountant - fixed assets (Houston, TX)

We are growing our team at Nova Bridge Telecom and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be fixed assets. Technicians and office staff share information daily. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to service installations, and clear open items. • Track costs around customer tickets against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with service installations. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Houston, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
