Accountant - fixed assets (Honolulu, HI)

We are growing our team at Amberfield Oak Foods Group and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be fixed assets. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to allergen controls, and clear open items. • Track costs around cold storage against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with allergen controls. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Honolulu. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
