Accountant - fixed assets (Honolulu, HI)

Stonegate Oak Legal Group is a Honolulu practice with attorneys, paralegals and client-service staff. We are hiring an Accountant to take on fixed assets. People here care about clients, not just cases. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around billing records against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with intake forms. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Honolulu, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
