Accountant - fixed assets (Honolulu, HI)

Ironwood Basin Banking Services is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for fraud alerts, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 107 people based in Honolulu. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to fraud alerts, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around account openings against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Honolulu. • We reply to every applicant.
