Accountant - fixed assets (Fresno, CA)

Bluepeak Beacon Construction is a Fresno contractor with project managers, trades and support staff, and we need an Accountant to lead our fixed assets. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Track costs around subcontractor invoices against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to materials orders, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with materials orders. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Fresno. • We reply to every applicant.
