Accountant - fixed assets (Fort Worth, TX)

Lumen Keystone Energy Partners delivers power and gas plans across the Fort Worth region. We are hiring an Accountant to take on fixed assets. Reliability is the job, and people here take pride in answering the phone at 3 a.m. when needed. What you will do • Track costs around usage data against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to hardship programmes, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Fort Worth. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
