Accountant - fixed assets (El Paso, TX)

Ironwood Sable Financial serves customers across El Paso with accounts, loans and payments. We are hiring an Accountant to take on fixed assets. You would join a small organisation of about 26 people based in El Paso. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around regulatory reports against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with customer onboarding. • A degree or certificate in accounting.
