Accountant - fixed assets (El Paso, TX)

We are growing our team at Greenridge Oak Environmental Services and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be fixed assets. We take pride in clean streets. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around recycling loads against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with service complaints. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in El Paso. • We reply to every applicant.
