Accountant - fixed assets (El Paso, TX)

We are growing our team at Westbrook Orchard Arts Center Group and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be fixed assets. You would join a small organisation of about 117 people based in El Paso. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to event logistics, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with event logistics. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in El Paso. • We reply to every applicant.
