Accountant - fixed assets (El Paso, TX)

Greenridge Birch Telecom is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for billing accounts, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Technicians and office staff share information daily. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to billing accounts, and clear open items. • Track costs around service installations against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with billing accounts. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in El Paso. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
