Accountant - fixed assets (El Paso, TX)

Lumen Drift Legal Group provides legal services in El Paso across employment, housing and small-business law. We are hiring an Accountant to take on fixed assets. Confidentiality and accuracy are taken very seriously. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to court deadlines, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with court deadlines. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in El Paso, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
