Accountant - fixed assets (Denver, CO)

Fernwood West Freight Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for proof of delivery, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We reward reliability. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to proof of delivery, and clear open items. • Track costs around carrier rates against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting.
