Accountant - fixed assets (Denver, CO)

We are growing our team at Cedar Rook Auto Group and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be fixed assets. You would join a small organisation of about 164 people based in Denver. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to warranty claims, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around parts orders against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with warranty claims. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Denver. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
