Accountant - fixed assets (Denver, CO)

Harborlight Lantern Learning Group operates schools and learning programmes around Denver. We are hiring an Accountant to take on fixed assets. Families are partners. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to school calendars, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around enrolment against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with school calendars. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Denver. • We reply to every applicant.
