Accountant - fixed assets (Denver, CO)

Harborlight Beacon Markets Group operates grocery and general-merchandise stores around Denver. We are hiring an Accountant to take on fixed assets. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Denver. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around pricing against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to store inventory, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with store inventory. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Denver. • We reply to every applicant.
