Accountant - fixed assets (Dallas, TX)

Ironwood Wren Civic Services is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for case files, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We follow procedures carefully and explain them clearly. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around public records against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to case files, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with case files. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Dallas. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
