Accountant - fixed assets (Dallas, TX)

Bright Wren Hospitality is a hospitality company in Dallas with restaurants, rooms and catering. We are hiring an Accountant to take on fixed assets. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Dallas. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around reviews and feedback against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to guest bookings, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements.
