Accountant - fixed assets (Dallas, TX)

We are growing our team at Foxglove Yarrow Legal Group and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be fixed assets. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Track costs around trust accounts against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to document review, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with document review. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Dallas. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
