Accountant - fixed assets (Dallas, TX)

Lumen Stone Energy supplies electricity and gas to homes and businesses around Dallas. We are hiring an Accountant to take on fixed assets. Safety comes first on every shift. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to billing disputes, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around meter readings against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with billing disputes. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Dallas. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
