Accountant - fixed assets (Dallas, TX)

We are growing our team at Greenridge Lakeside Environmental Services and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be fixed assets. Safety briefings happen every morning. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around fleet maintenance against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to recycling loads, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with recycling loads. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Dallas. • We reply to every applicant.
