Accountant - fixed assets (Dallas, TX)

Greenridge Mill Environmental Services Partners is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for landfill records, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Early starts and steady work; we look after our drivers. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to landfill records, and clear open items. • Track costs around recycling loads against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with landfill records. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Dallas, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
