Accountant - fixed assets (Columbus, OH)

Rivermark Cedar Telecom is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for billing accounts, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We keep people connected and take outages personally. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to billing accounts, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around service installations against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Columbus, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
