Accountant - fixed assets (Columbus, OH)

We are growing our team at Westbrook Willow Staffing Group and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be fixed assets. You would join a large organisation of about 626 people based in Columbus. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around temp assignments against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to retention, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with retention. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Columbus, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
