Accountant - fixed assets (Columbus, OH)

We are growing our team at Clearpath Quarry Telecom and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be fixed assets. You would join a large organisation of about 453 people based in Columbus. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around outage reports against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to network equipment, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with network equipment. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Columbus, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
