Accountant - fixed assets (Columbus, OH)

Bright Fox Medical is a Columbus company producing monitoring and surgical equipment. We are hiring an Accountant to take on fixed assets. You would join a small organisation of about 35 people based in Columbus. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around training materials against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with regulatory submissions. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Columbus. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
