Accountant - fixed assets (Columbus, OH)

We are growing our team at Summit Nest Auto Group and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be fixed assets. Technicians are respected and trained. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around customer estimates against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with supplier deliveries. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Columbus. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
