Accountant - fixed assets (Colorado Springs, CO)

Lumen Cedar Legal Group provides legal services in Colorado Springs across employment, housing and small-business law, and we need an Accountant to lead our fixed assets. Confidentiality and accuracy are taken very seriously. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around document review against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Colorado Springs, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
