Accountant - fixed assets (Colorado Springs, CO)

Foxglove Lantern Medical Partners is a Colorado Springs company producing monitoring and surgical equipment. We are hiring an Accountant to take on fixed assets. You would join a small organisation of about 188 people based in Colorado Springs. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around production lots against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with training materials. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Colorado Springs. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
