Accountant - fixed assets (Colorado Springs, CO)

Summit Glen Inspection Services is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for client sites, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around scheduling against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with client sites. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Colorado Springs, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
