Accountant - fixed assets (Colorado Springs, CO)

Stonegate Union Hospitality Group operates hotels and event venues around Colorado Springs, and we need an Accountant to lead our fixed assets. Promotion from within is common. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to food costs, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around housekeeping schedules against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Colorado Springs. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
