Accountant - fixed assets (Colorado Springs, CO)

Bluepeak Ashton Health is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for patient education, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 30 people based in Colorado Springs. What you will do • Track costs around insurance authorisations against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with patient education. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Colorado Springs, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
