Accountant - fixed assets (Colorado Springs, CO)

Ironwood Harbor Farms is an agricultural business based around Colorado Springs, and we need an Accountant to lead our fixed assets. Seasons are busy and the rest of the year is for planning. What you will do • Track costs around field records against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to harvest schedules, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Colorado Springs, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
