Accountant - fixed assets (Colorado Springs, CO)

Silverline Wilder Property Management Group looks after rental homes across the Colorado Springs area, and we need an Accountant to lead our fixed assets. You would join a small organisation of about 45 people based in Colorado Springs. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to lease renewals, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around unit turnovers against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with lease renewals. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Colorado Springs, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
