Accountant - fixed assets (Colorado Springs, CO)

Nova Ivory Facilities looks after properties across the Colorado Springs region. We are hiring an Accountant to take on fixed assets. Our crews keep other people's buildings running and we treat them well. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to safety inspections, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with safety inspections. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Colorado Springs. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
