Accountant - fixed assets (Cleveland, OH)

We are growing our team at Silverline Pike Construction and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be fixed assets. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Cleveland. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to safety records, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with safety records. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Cleveland, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
