Accountant - fixed assets (Cincinnati, OH)

We are growing our team at Highbridge Clear Freight Group and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be fixed assets. You would join a large organisation of about 782 people based in Cincinnati. What you will do • Track costs around customer tracking against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with proof of delivery. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Cincinnati. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
