Accountant - fixed assets (Cincinnati, OH)

Greenridge Rook Learning Group is an education provider in Cincinnati serving students and families. We are hiring an Accountant to take on fixed assets. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around student accounts against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to attendance records, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Cincinnati. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
