Accountant - fixed assets (Charlotte, NC)

Greenridge Willow Community Partners is a Charlotte charity working with residents on basic needs and opportunity, and we need an Accountant to lead our fixed assets. Flexibility and kindness are expected. What you will do • Track costs around food distribution against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to benefits enrolment, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Charlotte. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
