Accountant - fixed assets (Charleston, SC)

Greenridge Iron Community Partners is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on fixed assets for client intake, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We are small enough to know everyone's name. What you will do • Track costs around grant reporting against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with client intake. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Charleston. • We reply to every applicant.
